Manzoor Ghori, Director and President
Manzoor is
one of the
founders
of IMRC and
has been
the Chairman
since its
inception
in 1981.
He emigrated
from Hyderabad
India in
1968 after
completing
his Bachelors
degree from
Osmania Universityc
in Siences.
After earning
his Bachelors
and Masters
degree in
the U.S.,
he has worked
as a clinical
scientist
for Kaiser
Hospital.
Brother Manzoor
lives in
Palo Alto
with his
wife and
has four
children.
Zafar Shaikh, Director and VP (US and Canda)
Zafar has
been a volunteer
with IMRC
since 1999.
He came to
the US in
1959 from
Gujarat,
India. He
earned an
MS from University
of Michigan
in 1960 and
an MBA from
Santa Clara
in 1970.
He has worked
as a Project
Manager and
Department
Head of Clinical
Manufacturing
for major
pharmaceutical
companies
in the Bay
Area. Brother
Zafar recently
visited Gujarat
to personally
oversee IMRC
relief efforts
following
the devastating
earthquake
in January.
Brother Zafer
is married
with two
children
and resides
in Los Altos.
Khaja M. Hussain, Director and Treasurer
Khaja Hussain
has been
an IMRC board
member and
treasurer
since inception
in 1981.
He was born
in Hyderabad,
India and
completed
his M.Com
from Osmania
University.
After completing
his education
in Business
Management
from McGill
University
in Canada
he worked
as an Accounting
Manager for
Nortell in
Canada and
US. He
moved to
California
in 1977 and
has worked
for several major
companies
since. His
family includes
2 daughters
and 4 grandchildren.
Shahed Javeed, Director and Assistant Treasurer
Shahed has
been volunteering
for IMRC
since its
inception.
He came to
the United
States from
Hyderabad
in 1971,
then earned
his bachelor's
degree in
Finance and
Economics
and MBA.
He resides
in Fremont
with his
wife. Brother
Shahed has
been extremely
active and
concerned
with relief
efforts following
riots and
natural disasters
in India.
Wajahat Abdulla, Director
Wajahat
has been
an IMRC
Committee
member
since 1998.
Born in
Karnataka,
India he
received
a BE in
Mechanical
Engineering
from Karnataka
University
and Masters
from University
of Michigan,
Ann Arbor.
Wajahat
has been
working in
Operations
Management
and Industry
Solution
Consultanting
since 2000. He
has dedicated
his time
to provide
and support
educational
programs
for Indian
Muslims
and minorities.
Jahangir Alam, Director and Assistant Secretary
Jahangir
has been
an IMRC Committee
member since
1991. Born
in U.P.,
India he
received
a BSc. and
an MSc. from
Aligarh University.
In 1980,
Brother Alam
came to Canada
and received
MSc and Ph.D.,
from McMaster
University.
For the past
12 years
he has been
working for
Roche designing
drugs for
various human
diseases.
He is focused
on the
financial
stability
of IMRC and
interested
in IMRC's
long-term
education
